Leavenworth Oktoberfest Bier

Available August 15th through Oktober

Released in celebration of Autumn’s arrival, Oktoberfest is a medium-bodied beer crafted in the Leavenworth tradition. This seasonal owes its smooth, malty flavor to a large percentage of Munich malt. In the classic German tradition, we add both Tettnanger and imported Tradition hops for an authentic Oktoberfest hop aroma.

In old Bavaria, breweries suspended brewing in summer due to the adverse effects of the season’s higher temperatures on bier making. The last batches of March, brewed to a higher strength for preservation’s sake, were the biers consumed until the following Fall. Oktoberfest was then a grand celebration to clear the vats in anticipation of cooler temperatures and a new brewing season. We brew Leavenworth Oktoberfest Bier to celebrate the turning colors of Autumn and the returning of good friends from their summer adventures.

23 IBU’s - 5.5% ABV - Gravity 1.065
Malts: Pale Malt and Bonlander Munich Malt.
Hops: German Tradition and Tettnanger.
