Hodgsons India Pale AleThis is a full-bodied, very pale and extremely hoppy version of the I.P.A. style for which Pacific Northwest brewers are deservedly famous. The flavor is INTENSE with a dry toasted malt character overlaid by a very assertive hop bitterness and citrus aroma. Like all of our Leavenworth beers, Hodgsons India Pale Ale is proudly unfiltered and cloudy. The India Pale Ale style was first brewed in England during the 19th century. Beer being shipped to India for the British troops was deliberately brewed highly hopped and with strong alcohol to act as a natural preservative during the long journey. 70 IBUs - 5.5% ABV - Gravity 1.062 - 15.5 Plato |
