SLURP, the annual shellfish extravaganza, returns to Fish Brewing Company on Sunday, May 17, 2009. Spotlighting14 Puget Sound-area restaurants and their shellfish specialties, SLURP opens the Brewery doors at 5:00, and continues until 8:00. Sponsored by the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers’ Association (PCSGA), the event will also offer wines from Washington, as well as a selection of Fish Tale Organic Ales, Leavenworth Biers, and Spire Mountain Ciders.

Featuring the famed Celebrity Oyster SLURP-Off, SLURP also bestows the Peoples’ Choice Wine Award and its coveted Best Shellfish Dish Award. As well, a live jazz and a live auction will mark the event. SLURP proceeds will benefit the PCSGA’s Shellfish Habitat Rejuvenation Fund.
